Real carbon fibre overlay for the automatic FG and FG-X console.

It sits over your factory shifter surround and bonds with automotive double sided tape. Nothing gets cut, drilled or removed, and the original trim stays untouched underneath.

• Fits: automatic Ford Falcon FG (2008 to 2014) and FG-X (2014 to 2016)
• Does not fit: manual cars, see fitment below
• Install: peel and press, about ten minutes, no tools
• Finishes in this batch: gloss twill and gloss forged

Pick your finish

• Gloss twill: the classic 2x2 weave under a deep gloss clear.
• Gloss forged: random marbled pattern, no two pieces the same, full gloss.

Both are genuine carbon fibre with a UV resistant clear coat. Neither twill nor forged is better, it comes down to the rest of your interior. Matte finishes are not part of this batch.

How to fit it

1. Clean the factory surround with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry fully.
2. Dry fit the overlay first and check the alignment. Do not peel the tape yet.
3. Peel the tape backing.
4. Line it up and press it down firmly from the centre out to the edges.

Almost every overlay that lets go later does so because the surface was not clean and dry. Take your time on step 1.

FAQ

How does the preorder work?

You pay in full at checkout and your unit is allocated from this batch. Once the batch lands in Perth it is checked, packed and dispatched in order of purchase. The dispatch window is our best estimate from production and freight schedules, and if it moves you will get an email. Preorders are covered by our Returns and Refunds policy.

Does it fit a manual FG?

Not yet. The overlay's thickness stops the manual shift boot retainer clipping back in. A manual version is planned, with no date yet.

Does it fit both FG and FG-X?

Yes, on automatics. The console shape is the same across both in this area.

Can I take it off later?

Yes. The factory trim is untouched underneath. Warm the tape with a hair dryer and lift it slowly.

Will it lift in summer heat?

Not if the surface was clean and dry when it went on. The tape is the same class of adhesive used on factory trim and badges.

Is it real carbon or a wrap?

Real carbon fibre prepreg under a UV resistant clear. No vinyl, no plastic with a carbon print.
