The Kia Stinger GT is one of the best-looking performance sedans to come out of the last decade. The body lines are aggressive from factory, and the proportions are spot on. But if you've owned one for any amount of time, you've probably noticed the same thing most Stinger owners do. The exterior trim lets the rest of the car down. Plastic chrome accents, basic fender fills, and a hood vent that could look a lot sharper.
That's where carbon fibre comes in. Not the cheap ABS plastic stuff with a printed carbon pattern, but actual woven carbon fibre. The difference in person is night and day.
I've spent the better part of two years developing carbon fibre parts specifically for the Stinger GT, and the range now covers most of the key exterior touch points. Here's a breakdown of what's available, what each part does for the car visually, and the order I'd personally upgrade in if I were starting fresh.
Carbon Fibre Front Fender Vents
Price: From $350 AUD (pair)
This is where most Stinger owners start, and for good reason. The factory fender area behind the front wheels is flat and doesn't have much going on. The carbon fibre fender vents sit directly onto the factory fender and add a defined detail to the side profile.
They're sold as a pair (left and right), finished with UV-resistant gloss clear coat, and install with adhesive tape. No drilling, no cutting, no trips to a body shop. You can have them on in about 15 minutes with a clean surface and steady hands.
The 2x2 twill weave is visible through the clear coat, so you get that classic motorsport look without any vinyl wraps or printed imitations.
Fits: All Kia Stinger GT models from 2018 to 2023, including the facelift.
Dry Carbon Fibre Hood Vent Cover
Price: From $300 AUD
The factory hood vent on the Stinger GT is a functional opening, but the surrounding trim is plain black plastic. The dry carbon fibre hood vent cover replaces that plastic piece with real carbon fibre, and the result is a much more refined look when you pop the hood or even just glance at the car from the front.
This one uses dry carbon fibre, which is lighter and stronger than wet-layup carbon, with a tighter, more consistent weave pattern. The finish is gloss clear coated for UV protection.
Installation is straightforward. The cover is designed to sit over the existing vent surround using the factory mounting points. No permanent modification to the car.
Fits: Kia Stinger GT (2018–2023), all variants.
Carbon Fibre Rear Bumper Splitter Canards
Price: From $300 AUD
The rear bumper on the Stinger GT already has a fairly aggressive lower diffuser section, but the canards take it a step further. These small fins sit either side of the rear bumper and sharpen up the back end of the car considerably.
They're a subtle touch that makes a bigger difference than you'd expect, especially on darker coloured cars where the contrast between body paint and exposed carbon fibre really stands out.
Same construction as the rest of the range: genuine carbon fibre, UV-stable gloss clear coat, adhesive tape install.
Fits: Kia Stinger GT (2018–2023).
Carbon Fibre Upper Grille Trim
Price: From $650 AUD
This is the most visually impactful single piece in the Stinger range. The upper grille trim replaces the chrome or gloss black surround on the front grille with a full carbon fibre piece. It changes the entire front-end presence of the car.
The price is higher because it's a larger, more complex part. The mould follows the exact contour of the factory grille surround, so fitment is tight and clean with no gaps. It clips into the factory mounting points, so again, no drilling or modification needed.
If you're only going to do one carbon fibre upgrade on your Stinger, this is the one I'd pick. It makes the biggest visual difference and it's the part most people notice first.
Fits: Kia Stinger GT (2018–2023).
What Order Should You Upgrade In?
If you're working with a budget and want to stage your upgrades over time, here's the order I'd go:
First: Upper Grille Trim ($650) Biggest visual impact for a single part. Completely changes the front end.
Second: Front Fender Vents ($350) Adds detail to the side profile that the factory car is missing. Easy install, instant improvement.
Third: Hood Vent Cover ($300) A clean finishing touch to the engine bay area. Pairs well with the grille trim.
Fourth: Rear Bumper Canards ($300) Sharpens up the rear end and rounds out the full exterior package.
Total for the full set comes in around $1,600 AUD, which is reasonable considering every piece is real carbon fibre with a proper clear coat finish. You'd pay more than that for a single imported carbon fibre lip spoiler from some of the big overseas brands.
Why Real Carbon Fibre Matters
A quick note on materials, because this comes up constantly. There are a lot of "carbon fibre" parts on the market for the Stinger that are actually ABS plastic with a hydro-dipped or vinyl-wrapped carbon pattern. They look okay in photos but fall apart quickly. The pattern fades, the clear coat yellows, and the edges start lifting within a few months.
Every part in our Stinger range is genuine woven carbon fibre. Real 2x2 twill weave (or dry carbon where noted), hand laid, vacuum bagged, heat cured, and finished with UV-stable clear coat. The weave is three-dimensional. You can feel the texture of the fibres through the clear coat. That's something no wrap or print can replicate.
Shipping and Fitment
All parts ship Australia-wide with tracking. Most in-stock orders go out within 1 to 3 business days. Everything is packed in reinforced boxes with foam protection because carbon fibre doesn't react well to getting knocked around in transit.
If you're not sure whether a part fits your specific Stinger variant, get in touch before ordering. I'll confirm fitment based on your year, model and any modifications you've made.
